Honored !

I am honored by couple of responses - one from Bill and Melinda Foundation and other one from Craig from Craigslist. Find below the snapshots of responses from these sources.

Craig's response :
Sachin, thanks! but I just don't have the background to comment, and now have a big customer service backlog... can I take a pass?
thanks!
Craig

One thing I liked about the response is the question above.

Here is response from an associate of Bill and Melinda Foundation :

Dear Sachin, Thank you for contacting the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation. We appreciate your interest in our country's education system, and thank you for sharing your idea with the foundation. We know that finding services that are of high quality and affordable to support nonprofit work is challenging. The foundation, however, is not in a position to offer recommendations in this area. I suggest that you visit our Web site at http://www.gatesfoundation.org/ for information on nonprofit resources.

Please accept our best wishes.

Sincerely,
Stephanie Jones

World's First eNGO

With everything moving from physical/mechanical to electronic/electrical, I believe even the NGOs should move to Internet. Though its not that they are not using internet, but they should use ONLY internet. The trend is that of using 'e' for all the phenomena that happen around us. eThis and eThat - these are the words we hear all the time. Soon we will have a eNation(my another concept), where users will be citizens of that nation and it will have its own government and similar other ideas.Coming back to my original title of the post, what I believe is that the time has come to start an eNGO - everything will be over the electronic media. This NGO will not do any face to face talks or meetings. The only source of communication will be email or phone(only if required). In conclusion, the concept is open to public. We are here to educate the mass, so lets CARE > SHARE > EDUCATE.

Open Letters

I am so much into this new idea that in last couple of weeks I have mailed two important sources of support. First, India's greatest President till-date Mr. APJ Abdul Kalam and second, UNESCO.
I believe that both these sources will reply with kind words of information of how to go ahead in my mission to educate all.
As the time is still not suitable for me to publish the letters to public, these letters are not in the post.
The next goal is to mail some important philanthropists around the world for initial support !

Technology Enhanced Education

This article is from site : abdulkalam.com
These inspirational thoughts are from India's ex-President APJ Abdul Kalam

Constraints of time and space together with the rapid obsolescence of knowledge in some areas of science and technology, have created a huge demand for different courses from different institutions in the distance mode. There is a need for a working digital library system that alone can, in the long run, provide the kind of access required for a Knowledge Society. Technology Enhanced Learning is a solution. It attempts to exploit the rapid developments in Information and Communication Technology. As the communications bandwidth continues to increase and the cost of computer power continues to drop, Technology Enhanced Learning will become an economically viable solution. Virtual classrooms of the future will have students from many locations taught by a team of geographically distributed instructors through the tele-education delivery system.

Ultimately, education in its real sense is the pursuit of truth. It is an endless journey through knowledge and enlightenment. Such a journey opens up new vistas of development of humanism where there is no scope, nor room for pettiness, disharmony, jealousy, hatred or enmity. It transforms a human being into a wholesome whole, a noble soul and an asset to the universe. Universal brotherhood in its true sense becomes the sheet anchor for such an education. Real education enhances the dignity of a human being and increases his or her self-respect. If only the real sense of education could be realised by each individual and carried forward in every field of human activity the world will be so much a better place to live in.

ABCD4all is based on the logic of creating a online digital library, which can be accessed by all the NGOs. An NGO in Africa can share its success story with other NGOs.

About ABCD4all

ABCD4all is an effort to bring together into one place, all the NGOs striving towards making earth a better place to live by proving quality education to kids from all the strata of society. The NGOs which work in field of education must now come together, share their ideas, tools and experiences . Only then its possible to provide "education to all ".

The blog is FOR - the NGOs, BY - the NGOs and TO-the NGOs.

So most of the data will come from the NGOs, who have found an avenue through which they can share their knowledge, insights, and passions for teaching and learning and for the stories that they relish and teach. The directory will grow as more people come forward with their stories and ideas, and we hope that you will start to share your ideas with the larger education community by producing your own program.

Warning: Due to the nature of the Internet, the provider of this service can not assure the appropriateness of the programming that is available beyond this web site. Therefore, Sachin Kulkarni and his team is not responsible for the content that does not originate from the site.

Thank you for visiting, and please let us know if there is any way that we can be of further service.
